Why plastic
What you get that timber cannot give you
No ISPM-15, ever
Plastic is not wood packaging material, so it falls outside ISPM-15 entirely. No heat treatment, no stamp, no treatment certificate, and nothing for an inspector to reject at the port.
Washable and hygienic
Non-porous, so they can be pressure-washed or steam-cleaned between loads. This is why food processors, dairies and pharmaceutical operations specify them over timber.
Consistent weight and size
Injection-moulded to the same dimensions every time. Nothing warps, no nails work loose, and nothing snags shrink wrap — which matters on automated lines and conveyors.
Long service life
A plastic pallet in a closed-loop system will outlast a timber one several times over. The higher unit price amortises across far more trips.

Second-hand plastic, when we have it
Plastic comes back through our buy-back runs in far smaller numbers than timber. When a batch lands it is worth having, so here is how we sell it.
- Bought back, not manufactured
- Used plastic comes in through the same buy-back runs as timber. We inspect for cracked decks, deformed feet and heat damage, and anything that fails goes back out as recycling rather than onto a truck.
- Sold by the batch
- Availability moves with what has come back that month, so we quote against a specific batch — colour, size and quantity confirmed before you commit, not a rolling stock promise we cannot keep.
- Where it makes sense
- Internal movement, yard handling and closed loops where appearance does not matter. For food-contact and pharmaceutical work we will normally point you at new stock instead.

Plastic pallet questions we get asked
Do plastic pallets need ISPM-15 heat treatment for export?
No. ISPM-15 applies only to wood packaging material. Plastic pallets are outside the standard entirely, so they need no treatment, no stamp and no certificate, and cannot be held at the port over timber compliance.
What sizes of plastic pallet do you stock in the UAE?
We hold 1200 × 1000 mm and 1200 × 800 mm in four-way entry, rated to around 1,500 kg static load. Other dimensions, rackable grades and hygienic full-perimeter designs are available to order.
Are plastic pallets cheaper than wooden ones?
Per unit, no — plastic costs more up front. Per trip in a closed loop it is usually cheaper, because a plastic pallet survives many more cycles. If your pallets leave and never return, timber is normally the better economics.
Can plastic pallets be washed?
Yes. They are non-porous and can be pressure-washed or steam-cleaned between loads, which is why food, dairy and pharmaceutical operations specify them.
What is the price of a plastic pallet in the UAE?
Plastic is priced on the moulding, not on timber volume, so the figure moves with the grade rather than the size — a light nestable export pallet, a standard four-way and a rackable heavy-duty version can differ by several times. Tell us the load, the size and whether the pallets come back to you and we will quote the same working day.
Do you sell used plastic pallets in the UAE?
When we have them. Used plastic pallets come back through our buy-back collections, but in far smaller numbers than timber, so availability is by batch rather than continuous. Ask what is in the yard and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth waiting or buying new.
